Blake Returns From Serbia

Blake and his team in the local paper.

Blake arrived back home safe and sound last Thursday night. He had an amazing time and after spending 24+ hours at airports and on airplanes, he seems to be adjusting back to the 9-hour time difference ... although last night he fell asleep on the couch at about 8 p.m. and remained there while the rest of us swam. We finally woke him up at about 10 and he went to bed.

Blake had a great time. His team's visit even made the local newspaper and it was great timing that he got to be there in the thick of World Cup action and be in the midst of die-hard soccer fans.

The soccer training was great and the food, Blake says, was amazing. He talked about wonderful pastries, the best burgers ever, a carbonated lemonade called Bitter Yellow, and beautiful smoothies (that were only $2.50, he adds).

Although I was so nervous about letting him go, I'm glad we did. Memories he'll treasure for the rest of his life ...

Out on the soccer fields.

The "amazing" smoothie.
